How to get to the festival

 

Our festival home is Dinefwr, which is located 1 mile from Llandeilo.
Address: Dinefwr Park, Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire (SA19 6RT). Be careful some SAT Navs find it difficult to locate the postcode).


Dinefwr is located near Llandeilo, which is:

2 hours from Bristol

90 minutes from Cardiff

40 minutes from Swansea


By Road

 

From East:

Follow the A40 (T) from Swansea take the M4 to Pont Abraham, then A48(T) to Cross Hands and A476 to Llandeilo. There will be yellow AA Roadsigns also signposting the entrance to the festival.

From West (Carmarthen):

Follow the A40 from Carmarthen. Turn right onto Carmarthen Road signposted to Llandeilo. There will be yellow AA Roadsigns also signposting the entrance to the festival.

Important Travel updates for Beyond the Border festival

By Car

If you are travelling by car just to let you know what if you travelling through Llandeilo the Pride parade will be taking place from midday on Saturday. It’s a wonderful event but the main road might be busy/blocked off.

Also on Saturday a short cut through the town to Dinefwr, Kings Road, will be closed as there is a vintage car fair that afternoon. Please follow the AA road signs that will take you to Dinefwr via Carmarthen Road.

By Bus

There are local buses through to Llandeilo. Timetable can be accessed via TravelCymru.

Taxi

Unfortunately we are unable to provide a shuttle bus between the train station/Llandeilo to the festival site. There are local Taxi firms in Llandeilo.

Important Travel updates for Beyond the Border festival

If you are using public transport and travelling to Llandeilo and the festival this weekend, make sure you check the latest updates on train travel. There are planned strike actions in England, and while there isn’t any in Wales, there might be changes to some of the connections. Please check with your train ticket provider.

Train

Llandeilo has a Train Station which is located 1.5 mile from Dinefwr.

There are trains that go from Swansea to Llandeilo (normally 4-5 trips a day).

Please visit Transport for Wales for further details or Trainline.

(There are trains that run from Cardiff to Llandeilo with one change at Swansea. Normal journey time 2 hours 30 minutes).

Train journeys from Swansea are usually 1 hour and 10 mins.

There are also journeys from Shrewsbury to Llandeilo on the Transport for Wales line too. This journey usually takes up to 3 hours.
