Support Us

Beyond the Border International Storytelling Festival is a charity and we rely on funding support, donations as well as earned income from ticket sales to help run our festival and projects throughout the year.

Our work supports storytelling across Wales; using stories to bring communities together, to help health and wellbeing and to capture and share stories, myths and legends for future generations.

Every penny that is donated to Beyond the Border goes back into our festival and projects. We make sure that our support has an impact with our communities.
We also support young and emerging storytelling voices and producers through our New Voices mentoring programme, New Directions and our Mycelium Storytelling Hub. We also support other projects run by other organisations including Young Storyteller of the Year programme.

We are committed to supporting storytellers. We pay industry rates for our storytelling programme.
We run monthly Casglu sessions which work with storytellers to develop skills and offer best practice and advice for working as professional storytellers.

Like all festivals across the UK we are faced with increasing costs for everything we need to build the festival experience. We also recognise that everyone is facing cost of living crisis, fuel poverty and an increasing sense of uncertainty about what the future will bring.
We want to support audiences attending and we have frozen our tickets prices to 2020 prices. We want people to be able to attend, but in doing so this will impact on how we run the festival.

Even if you can support us through a small amount of money, as a one off, or monthly donations, this will help us achieve so much for our community and storytelling in Wales.
