Beyond The Border 2010

St Donats Castle, South Wales

2nd - 4th July 2010

Britain’s leading international festival of storytelling returns to St Donats Castle on the South Wales coast for another spectacular weekend featuring storytellers, singers, poets, musicians, writers and artists from around the globe.

“discover places where only your imagination can take you…..”

For three glorious and magic filled days, the grounds of our fairytale castle by the sea will echo with world stories, world music - and even world food.

Plus workshops and activities for all the family, our legendary Real Ale bar (voted in the Western Mail’s ‘100 Things To Do in Wales Before You Die’), bookshops, craft stalls, cliff-top camping – and that indefinable something else that has caused more than one seasoned festival goer to say:

“honestly still to this day there is no other festival in the world like it!” (Tristan Glover – The Chipolatas)

Our 2010 programme will include In The Footsteps of Marco Polo - storytellers and musicians from Italy, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia and ancient Babylon;

As well as…. Stories from Celtic Britain, Africa and The Caribbean, Traveller’s Tales, Stories & Food, The Green Stage, outdoor concerts in The Blue Garden, indoor concerts in the magnificent 14th Century Bradenstoke Hall, and much, much more….
