Elizabeth Garner

Sunday 5.00-6.00 Tythe Barn

Writer Elizabeth Garner was born in Cheshire and now lives in Oxford, where she works part time as a script editor. Her first novel Nightdancing won a Betty Trask Award and was shortlisted for the Authors’ Club First Novel Award.

Daughter of Alan Garner, OBE, Elizabeth will talk about how the design on a dinner service, the 4th Branch of The Mabinogion, and the Welsh valley of Llanymawddwy combined to inspire the creation 50 years ago of her father’s iconic novel The Owl Service.
