This summer BTB will host Roots & Roads, a collaborative project funded by Creative Europe. The project begins on 17th June when an international crew of professional Storytellers from Sweden, Italy and Wales set sail on a three-masted schooner (Adventure Wales) to voyage along the S Wales coast, telling traditional stories as they go.
They will perform on board for the passengers on Adventure Wales, at National Waterfront Museum Swansea for parties of school children, before returning to Cardiff for a final performance for an adult audience, ‘Stories From The Ship of Fools’, at The Norwegian Church on Midsummer’s Eve, 21st June, 7.30pm.
The Programme of salty stories will include pirate tales, Norse sagas, true stories of Italian adventurers and legends of the Severn Sea, as well as ballads and shanties.
