The good news has been pouring in to the Beyond the Border virtual office over the last couple of months.
Just before Christmas, we found out that we have been awarded a maximum grant under the ACW Festivals Fund towards the 2012 Festival and to allow us to organise post festival touring of commissioned works. Great news, especially given how popular the fund is. We’ll let you know more about those commissions soon – one of them is an exciting revival of a seminal piece of storytelling and another an entirely new bilingual piece in Welsh and English.
Staying with the funding, we’re about to sign a four year funding agreement with Welsh Government for a significant amount of money. This support, which comes via the Major Events Strategy, also means we are working hard to connect with Visit Wales and Visit Britain to raise our profile Internationally.
As if that weren’t enough, we’re also very close to closing a deal with our festival key sponsor.
Things are starting to get very exciting – and we’ll have more news on line up and tickets for you before the end of the month.
